ABOUT STAMFORD BRIDGE, YORK
The pool is a beautiful 17m x 6m in dimensions and is heated above 29* so makes an idealistic start for intermediate swimmers or adult beginners who are looking to build up their confidence, technique and stamina with our swimming lessons.
The pool size allows it to be used for all stages and abilities.
The group size are 1:4 ratio to meet AquaNewts standards; but if you're looking for Private lessons - 1:1 and 1:2 are available too at this venue. This venue is split into two lanes, one for a group lesson and one for a private lesson - therefore it still makes for a lovely quieter learning environment.

• Please arrive at the pool 5 minutes prior to your lesson. There is a conservatory to take shoes off, before you walk through to the pool via the changing rooms.
• Shoes off at the door for everyone - muddy floor, clean pool - enough said.
• If you can, make sure your swimmer can arrive beach ready (costume underneath) so they can take off their overclothes and then sit on the side of the door and wait for their lesson to begin.
• Once the last class has finished, parents can walk round to the spectating side of the pool, children will be dismissed from there.
• Handover between lessons needs to be quick.
• I will have a quick conservation and introduce myself to swimmers before we talk about sliding in safely. The work will begin straight after. Please note; a lesson specifically aims to be 28 minutes long to accommodate an additional 2 minutes for registration, safe entrance and safe exit.
• Upon completion, you can towel off in the changing rooms, we request you don’t do this on poolside as the next cohort of families will want to sit down.
• You are under no obligation to spectate - although if not I request your phone with the number given to me is kept on if I need to contact you! 25 minutes of peace is a gift. Therefore, you can wait in your car if you wish - unless your child has got additional requirements where I’ve requested specifically requested you remain poolside for the full lesson. That being said, there is plenty of space for up to 2 spectators per child.
